Bernadette Peters with Mr. Potatoe Head - 3rd & 4th Photo
"I love Pit Bulls," says Bernadette
Bernadette Peters is an Amazing Woman who loves pit bulls. She is an advocate for them and insisted on posing with Mr. Potatoe Head. This event was in NYC for the launching of a new campaign by the AC&C. I asked her if she could pose with Danny Boy and she was thrilled to. I told her about the "Kids for Pits" Campaign and she was excited to learn about it. When she saw some children playing with Mr. Potatoe Head she yelled out, "Nicole, kids with pits, take a picture." Needless to say, I was honored. She's beautiful :)

Ariana and Cyrus from Altoona, PA
Mom says, "Ariana and Cyrus were not raised together, Cyrus was 14 weeks old when he became a part of our family and is now 3 yrs old soon to be 4, but never the less he took Ariana in as a part of the family when she was born and they have been best buddies ever since, so it just goes to show you how accepting pitbulls are to even the newest family members. The love this breed has to give to humans is an eternity of loyalty and companionship no matter what BSL has to say about it because I think BSL is....well.....BS...."
Claire with Brock from Tampa, FL
Claire says, "Brock is an amazing dog. The first time I saw him, I was in love! I know most people think pitbulls are lean, mean, killing machines but Brock is the exact opposite! He's adorable, sweet, and I could not imagine life without him!"
Mireya with Laika - 1st & 2nd Photo
Laika with Pugsley - 3rd Phot
from Altoona, PA
Mom says, "Laika is an irreplaceable member of our family, and even my now 9 month old daughter loves her. I can't imagine that she would harm anyone. That was my daughter at about 3 months old. Laika was protecting her...and she never has acted like her intentions were otherwise. I feel terrible for those who have suffered because of BSL. If ever there was a law that did an unimaginable amount of damage to people, it had to be this one. Dogs are mans best friend. It is unfair to say the breed one has chosen is not allowed, and others are. A dog is a dog. A good dog can be of any breed, and the same goes with a bad one. I am prepared to do what is necessary to keep Laika, in mine and my daughters life."

Ryan and Sadie - 1st photo
Jospeh and Sadie - 2nd photo
from West Warwick, RI
Mom says, "Sadie is great with Ryan and Josehp. I was nervous at first and now that I see how good she is with them it makes me sick to see how they are viewed by some. She is very motherly when my boys fall or get hurt she usually makes it to them first just to give them a little kiss."

Ethan and Diva from Manassas, VA
Robert says, "This is Diva, my 16 week old Blue APBT. The APBT is an important part of my family as every mother, father, brother, sister, son, or daughter. Our family would not be the same without her and we have never known such a loving, obedient, intelligent, and entertaining breed. On many occasions meeting Diva has erased all of the stereotypes and ill-informed assumptions caused by the media, politicians, and ignorant strangers. There are far too many sorry excuses for owners causing a bad reputation for these animals. The animals themselves have not, do not, and will never deserve to be discriminated against because of their breed.
I do as much as I can to change peoples view and/or opinion of pitbulls. After everything Diva and other APBT's have done and shown for me it is the very least I can do for them. I may own other breeds of dogs now and in the future but I will always have an APBT in my home. I'm not sure if you noticed in the pic, but Diva is chewing a raw hide while Ethan is pulling on her face and she didn't even bat an eye. I find it a perfect example of exactly how "human aggressive" these dogs are."

Chloe and Sydney from Brookston, IN
Mom says, "This is one of my 4 pit bulls with my autistic 4 year old daughter, Chloe. He has basically adopted her. He goes everywhere with her, sleeps in her room, and shares his toys. He is the best dog and people constantly tell me how crazy I am to let the dogs be around Chloe. I always supervise and they are all speutered, vaccinated, and well socialized. I am a responsible dog owner and a proud parent, I just happen to own pit bulls."
