I believe in adopting directly from shelters. Purchasing from breeders, pet stores and over the internet, contributes to puppy mills and over population. If you are set on a pure bred, please remember that 25% of animals in shelters are pure bred. Let the shelter staff know what breed you are looking for, and they will contact you when one comes in.
